Forum: etree Subject: please help with new upload - move to LMA - incorrectly posted

Hello,
I accidentally uploaded a new show into Ebook and Texts Archive.
e.g.
Ebook and Texts Archive > Community Texts > Kung Fu ~ live @ Nectars in Burlington, VT. 2012-05-11
( http://archive.org/details/kf2012-05-11.flac )

I assume that because of this i do not see the usual file download options (flac, ogg etc) that are available on other live music archive pages. Those files are present in the directory tree.

i'm not sure how it happened. I selected the link to add it to the live music archive.
I would like it moved to the live music archive an added to a specific collection called KungFuBand
e.g.
Collection: KungFuband
Band/Artist: Kung Fu

please help.
apologies and thanks in advance!

Just moved it over for you and edited it to reflect the LMA-specific fields. I did notice that the txt file was missing - could you upload one, please? Edit item > change the files, then upload a file in .txt format and submit.

wow! that was fast! thx greenone! i am one happy n00b.
i will upload the text right away.

i noticed that the media player is no longer there on the page. Is this something that just takes a little time to populate once all of the data has migrated over?

thx again! :D

The media player disappeared because the edits I made queued up a new derive task. The new derive deletes the old derivatives and starts to create new ones, but it was interrupted by the lack of txt file.

I see that you uploaded two files, but one is .odt and the other is .rtf. Unfortunately we require .txt because the other two are not machine-parsable and can't be displayed in-browser. You're welcome to keep the odt/rtf files there but we need one in plain text format.

i re-uploaded 2 of the songs because the track markers were in the wrong place. Now those 2 songs are missing from the player on the page but the new versions show up in the download list of FLACs lower down on the page. (http://archive.org/details/kf2012-05-11.flac)

i re-uploaded the following:
(the corrected version of tracks 2 and 3)
02. Gung Ho (08:43)
03. Come Dancing (6:51)

and these 2 files (redone for all files including the 2 new versions):
fingerprint.ffp.txt
kf2012-05-11.flac.md5

i also uploaded a new version of the text file with the setlist etc.

new update...i received an email stating there was an MD5 error or files corrupted. However the files I uploaded were not the files named below.

here is an excerpt:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Due to this failure, all the files of this item have been made non-downloadable. Please contact us as soon as possible so that the issues can be resolved and we can make the files public again.

When you are finished, please reply to this email (etree@archive.org) and let us know.

You may see your item at:
http://archive.org/details/kf2012-05-11.flac

The following files were missing:
kf20120511_07.Steppin'InIt.flac
kf20120511_10.S'allGood.flac
-------------------------------------------------------------

last night MD5 upload caused a problem. I believe i spotted what it was.
I made the MD5 using all of the original FLAC files on my laptop. 2 of those files had an apostrophe in the name.

I have since correct those file names to match what is up on the archive and i then re-created the MD5 and uploaded it. Everything should match now.

I didn't want to use the original MD% as i changed the song markers on track 2 and 3 thereby changing the length of those tracks.

hopefully things are headed in the right direction now.

I noticed that greenone has intiated a process that is in queue in the catalog/history mgr. This is probably going to fix it as well.

many thanks again to greenone!
i gotta buy this person some beers or something. :D
